SmartNews: Local Breaking News App Reviews

Love this app. I use it daily.

"Smartnews" is purely agenda driven pseudo-journalism. Youll see a few conservative leaning articles sprinkled among the heavy Progressive messaging but nothing that will challenge liberal ideology. Even in non-political tabs such as "sports" there is still liberal messaging. There is limited diversity of opinion on this site. Most articles are pulled from moderate left to hard left outlets. I guess for the Left, limited diversity of opinion is "Smart". I would give zero stars if that was an option.

I clear the cache but this app is taking up 4GB of storage. What the heck!! Please fix this issue.

More social media integration without having to continually log in would be fantastic. No complaints though, best news app there is.

Great app other than the fact that it collects so much data and keeps a huge cashe unless you manually select "Clear cashe on next launch" from the settings app EVERY SINGLE TIME! The button resets itself after each launch! Fix this bug and have the cashe clear on EVERY launch and Ill 5star this puppy.

70% of the news stories are a great read, however, publishers such as VOX ruins the app for me. There needs to be a way to RATE EACH ARTICLE and the ABILITY TO BLOCK SPECIFIC PUBLISHERS!!!!

I am tired of all the anti-Trump news. I know for a fact that there are more people that like him than dont. If you cant report fair news I will delete this app from my device. Not that you will care. If you dont like living in a safe free country take your news overseas please.

Picks and chooses headlines from around the world to feature, but I am getting increasingly disenfranchised with this app because it is very slanted towards the Left. I dont find this to be objective at all.

Used to be the best. They are now junking it up with ads everywhere. I am nearing a delete.

Excellent option to read daily news from multiple sources

Consistently works and even gives options for faster service when my connection is subpar with the "Slow Connection" button. I love the information I receive from so varied sources.

Its a good app but needs the ability to filter sources that lack journalistic integrity and a way to clear the cache so that it doesnt consume multiple gigs of storage space. I have to regularly delete the app to free up space. Those little fixes would make the app incredible and worth keeping on my phone.

I really like this App it gives you a variety of news and stories with a synopsis on the side which helps me decide if I want to read the whole story or go on to something else.

Always has updated stories. I love that you can pick the stories/subjects you want, as well as put them in the order you want them presented

I like the app to read my news. I enjoy the Smart News feature because I dont have to wait for the page to load with all the pics and other ads.

Love the multiple sources at the fingertips. Customize your own sources for more accurate news. Excellent
