SmartNews: Local Breaking News App Reviews

Ive deleted most other news apps (other than local sources not covered here) because this app meets all my info needs in one spot.

Great app quick entertaining news handy to use while on the go.. Recommended more then a few times :)

Customizable, frequently updated and current, this has become my primary news source

I switched to Smartnews from Flipboard because FB kept crashing. Turns out thats an iPad 2 problem so now I use both. I like the broader view that I get with Smartnews, though I would ask that deleting feeds be incorporated as an option. I really dont need that much domestic news from India, thanks. The optional additional feeds seem somewhat US-skewed, so new adds make it less international. My other beef is that Smartnews seems to be a bit of a battery pig. My usage is higher than with Flipboard. Still one of my daily-used apps, though.

One stop shop for all the news of the day from several different sources. Definitely recommend.

The only thing Id like added would be the possibility to make the smart view default.

Please update this app with Turkish news feeds..

İt should be in Turkish too except this, it is very good and usefull for word news about everything

This app is so much fun to look at. It is so nice with the layout and the pictures, and you can have any category of news articles. The stories are also picked out very nicely and are very interesting to read! I love this app, definitely a 5/5 from me.

It is my observation after over a year that this station is funded by the Saudi Royal and present only their side.

Very interesting, diversified & informative. I check it out several times a day to read about whats going on. Many times I see the story, after Ive read about it here, at the end of the day on the nighty news. Thanks for all youre time & effort.

Use it every day. Im not old and looking to sit down for a long time and read news. I like to get in and get out (like men in a failing relationship) then get on with my day. This app gets it done (like couples in healthy relationships).

If could change anything, it would be to allow the user to click on whatever story comes up that you may have read from the last time and move on to the next. I sometimes see a news item that I didnt read the last time, but I want to read this time. Otherwise, a very helpful and informative App.

Former Zite user. Migrated to Flipboard. Didnt like. Found Smartnews and Im a happy news reader again.

If you like advertisements and wasting time, then this is a good app for you. Total waste of time. Full of junk that gets in the way.

Solid app. A great way to very quickly is going on. Enjoy it very much.
