SmartNews: Local Breaking News App Reviews

Recent versions fail to download articles completely to read offline. Perhaps add a download option for before flights?

I love using this app, I learn a lot because I dont have time to collect articles from all the news sites. But I wish there were more Canadian centred news options. I see some of our news in the "World" section, but I want a section that is strictly Canadian.

I think it would be better if the app went directly to the "smartnews" tab as oppose to clicking on it for every article. Of course include the pictures of every article perhaps to scale and we can click to enlarge them. A reading out loud feature wouldnt be bad either. At times when I have to get ready for work or Im on my way it would be cool if it could read me the news. The app overall is good but like anything in life things can always be better.

At every update I come back and look, and yet again, this very easy feature still isnt there.

Very nice and easy to use app!

This app has surprised me. It has a nice mix of stories and updates frequently. I wish there more magazines to choose from but otherwise its an excellent reader especially for world news stories. I do wish the individual stories loaded a little faster.

Not sure why or how but this app is consuming alot of data. Was hit with hefty overage charges and traced it back to this app. App used 1.5GB of data in 2 weeks wtf?

Once I started using delete other news apps. Whats the point, this app has them all :)

Cool app who find each top story around the world base on your interest. Easy, you can chose when you will receive notification.

I love this app, by far my main app for news, but since i updated to ios10 the science tab wont work, the pictures wont load, already reinstalled the app and bug still there, please fix it.

Well organized Easy flow Articles in tab in nice snapshot. Much preferred over other feeds that have you flip up through every article Would be great if they incorporated the Zite model of thumbs up/thumbs down on articles as a way of tuning the articles presented

A lil repetitive on the news coverage

Smart News is, by far, the best news app Ive tried. It offers a much more diverse collection of news sources and stories. The “Smart News” option for slow connections is great. Its a great replacement for individual news apps. Especially those who require a paid subscription and/or limit the number of accessible articles. Smart News is my go to app for all things newsworthy.

Used to like this app, now very biased and one sided ever since Trump entered political picture. Thought it was just me but then have seen other users note the same. Will try Drudge Report as another ex-user of the app suggested.

Science must remain objective irregardless of political views. It does not take long to see the authors feeble attempt to hide behind science to facilitate Trump bashing and one sided opinions. No wonder the public is not convinced of your "science" what an absolute joke for an article labeled as science
