SmartNews: Local Breaking News App Reviews

When you find something and then want to go back and show a friend its already gone within 4 hours. Its worse than snapchat. I wish it had a feature to bookmark and save stories your interested in.

I check the app several times daily to keep up with what is going on in the world. CNN, BBC and Reuters are great resources but for a quick check of what is happening Smart News is the ticket. Google a news is a far second.

The news on here is left leading biased garbage. Just report the facts. I dont want a liberal opinion.

Your obvious anti Muslim and anti Palestinian bias is soo evident, you are using second class news sources to promote these dangerous and harmful points of view.....please remove them from your news sources and I will promptly upgrade my rating to 5*.

I really enjoy this app the only downside is that some of the "new sources" are not real news and it would be great to be able to remove them. I like having a place were different views are and they can be glanced over but the stuff from the blaze or beibart are just obnoxious. They lose one star for not being able to screen out the irrelevant

Wonderful, except past stories are deleted. A history of past accessed stuff twould be grand.

I have been reading this app at least a year. It gives a quick summary of the different types of news. You can pick your types you want to read. I do not subscribe to papers.

Lot of apps bring you bits and pieces or fall by the wayside after their novelty wears off. Not this one for me. It great try it. I cannot understand why anyone would rate this below 5 stars. No flaws.

Although I use it often, and more often than my other news services, it has trashed one iPad. It jams often and I am forced to reboot.

My favorite news app that I check everyday for national, world, and local news. Love the "Smart" feature for reading news and the variety of news sources. Truly smart algorithm as well. Junk doesnt get by it

The only drawback is most storied dont give you an option to respond or voice options only read

I open the election section and I can see only negative news about my candidate, day after day. No thank you. Ill decide for myself.

After the update the app crashes and will not open. This used to be my go-to but the Apple news app is starting to look a little better now.

Excellent app, except for the fact you cannot remove unwanted feeds. Ive sent feedback, but they dont seem to care. It is now DELETED from my phone.

Every notification I received was some insanely liberal opinionated headline. I use this app to get headline throughout the day, not liberal opinions shoved down my throat. If youre moderate or conservative then avoid this incredibly biased app. Will be deleting after this, I dont get real news updates that I want from here anymore.

They are now sending notifications about stories that they dont have, just to trick you to go to the app. They needs to stop this behavior. Rating should be less than one star. I wonder if they read their own rating. VERY VERY SLOW because of ads and download speeds. Get ready to wait.

Amazing app, that delivers quality news articles with w.e interest you might have. I always end up updating my friends on whats going on. Would recommend if you enjoy news from all over the Internet and not just one location.
